DECIR™ is your fast track to career success.
I developed the DECIR™ program to help my clients move from where they are today in their careers, to where they want to be tomorrow. The program has been very effective for my clients. It can be effective for you too.
Here’s How DECIR™ Works:
- Describe What You Want
Usually we look outward for answers to our career related questions, when the answers are already inside us. They have always been there. They just need to come out. I help you get them out.
You cannot get what you want in your career until you can describe what it is. I will ask you simple, (yes, simple), and straightforward questions to get to the heart of who you really are. There will be writing assignments to further your inner exploration. Finally, you will take an online career assessment that will tell me your strengths, weaknesses, best career choices, and ideal working environment.
The goal of the “D” phase is for you to create a vision statement describing your ideal career or ideal working situation. Once you know what you want, the rest is implementation.
- Explore Your Options
Once you have created a vision statement, it is time to break it into possible career choices.
I will ask you what you learned about yourself in the “D” phase. It will be one of three things.
1) Did you discover that your vision is something you have been thinking about for a long time, but now you are unsure how to get it?
2) Did you come up with a few possible career choices in your vision, but are unsure which ones to select?
3) Are you feeling a little more focused, but are still struggling with the whole idea of creating a vision, and need to do more work first before you can officially declare one?
The exploratory phase is valuable because it helps answer your question for you.
The “E” phase is when you take your vision (or, ideas) and turn them into real choices. You will be researching different jobs or different careers. You will look at new ways to succeed at work. You will research how to make your vision a reality, and I will walk you through and help you get through this process quickly and successfully.
You will not not leave this phase until you know what you want to do next.
- Create Your Game Plan
Once you have explored your options and you know what you want, it is time to go get it.
Here are the 3 main components that will go into the plan you will be creating with my assistance:
- A) What Do You Want? Example: I want a new job, want to change careers, make more money, or enhance my attitude.
- B) When Will Your WHAT Be Achieved? Example: 3 months from now, 6 months, etc?
- C) How Will You Get There? You will take what you gathered from the exploratory process and map out specific steps and actions to take.
The best part of the “C” phase is you have already discovered what you need to do. Now, it’s time to make it happen.
- Implement Your Plan
Implementation is the step where you will carry out the plan you created in the “C” phase. This is where many people lose momentum because of a busy life or other responsibilities. I will help you stay on track and focused. I will remind you of your vision and why you began your journey in the first place. I will cheer you on and continue to give you concrete techniques and strategies. I will be a resource to guide and coach you towards the successful completion of your goal.
- Reach Your Goal
This is the phase where you get to congratulate yourself for all your hard work and effort. Get ready to be proud of yourself because you made it! This phase is when you will acknowledge yourself for being afraid and going after your goal anyway. Not only will this process build character, it will make you a happier person.

But, please keep in mind that DECIR™ is not a one size fits all program. It is customized 5-step program based on your unique situation, needs, and requirements.
